Hello, I'm Daniel.

I'm a designer and writer, working across various displines: graphic design; art direction; branding; journalism; cheese-tasting. I live in York with the lovely Dr B (academic genius, psychologist, lady geek, fiancée) and spend my spare time stockpiling nice-smelling magazines and eating halloumi.

Other

I mostly blog about aspects of design and film culture that grab my attention, for better or worse. As well as writing about things like lab coats, home-made iPads and nerf-herders, I compile a weekly GrayMatter post of all the best links I've stumbled upon. I also use Gimme Bar for image bookmarking. I've been blogging since 2004, so if you really want to waste your afternoon, you can trawl through the archive.

2002–04 / MA in Popular Culture / Open University
1996–99 / BA (hons) in Film, Television, Theatre and Literature / York St John’s University
