York Stonebow House

I've created a gallery and had a bit of a rant on Flickr about the potential that Stonebow House has to be a Southbank Centre for York. Check it out – and please leave comments! I’m trying to start a bit of public debate about this before some narrow-minded council numpty decides to knock the place down simply because it wasn’t built in the 1600s.

I'm always torn when I look at the Stonebow. On the one hand it looks very anachronistic and not a little ugly but on the other it's actually quite interesting as it's built on a curve, and is one of the few examples of such architecture in York. I'd certainly support any redevelopment plans.
