Good film plus successful marketing equals merely okay film

Bridesmaids is a pretty good film, but it really isn't the film it's being marketed as, except for when it is. What you're being sold is better than what you thought you were being sold based on what they said they were selling, but it still contains bits of what they said they were selling in order to get enough people to buy the thing that they were really selling under the guise of selling something else, and even though the thing that is really being sold is better than what you thought was being sold, it's not as good as what they could have sold had they not shoehorned in elements of the what they were appearing to sell.

Is that clear?
