Television For eyes
I've just had my six-monthly scary eye test where they have to blow air into my peepers to make sure I haven't got glaucoma. I hate these days, but they have to be done.
So thank you television for giving me a couple of things so I'll be extra grateful to have my sight. Before heading to the opticians I discovered The Children's Hour was on - a 1961 film starring Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine as teachers accused of having an affair (well ahead of its time).
Then I get back to find the Johnny Cash episode of Columbo is on! He's a surprisingly good actor, although he is playing a black-clad country singer, so no big stretch.
Telly. There for the lovely thing in life.
